Robbie asks us about our hunger for God.
This past Sunday, Robbie preached about “The Hunger Games.”
Just like the movie, Robbie’s lesson was a blockbuster! He talked about how our hunger for God needs to be more urgent than our hunger for food.
He spoke in the middle of Shipman Park in Kea’au. We had an outdoor service in the park.
We are slowly restoring our web site to its normal state.

He talked about how we can do good works as Christians. He also shared some personal thoughts on Jesus.

This past Sunday service, Jay shouted, “Hallelujah! God Almighty Reigns!”
A few minutes later, he had us shouting along!

This past Sunday, Jay told us to dream, no matter what our age is.
He reviewed our church goals for the year. He updated us on how we are doing on our goals that we made at the beginning of the year.

Our church was five times as excited today, as we celebrated our Fifth Anniversary!
Fifth Anniversary festivities included a special hula by Leimana and the Hula Ministry, danced to the song “I Hear God Singing to Me,” sung by the Music Ministry.
Kyle Bartholomew preached today’s sermon. Five years ago, Kyle, along with a few other disciples, helped “restart” our church, and rededicate our relationship with God, and our mission to get right with God, and help others to do the same.
Kyle is now the leader of the Honolulu International Christian Church. He also brought Joan, his wife, and fellow Oahu disciples Ashley, Lorenzo and Lowell.
In today’s sermon, Kyle talked about the time when the church had to get a “restart” five years ago, and described that turbulent time. He talked about being handcuffed along the road to hell, and how we need to handle our money.

It was a great Young Guns Sunday!
The younger generation of disciples got to take charge of our church service today and show that God even loves the youth in all of us.
The college and single Christians led the church in all of the singing and musical performances.
Stefano performed his own song, “Majesty.” Before communion, some of the students performed a song about Jesus. Our campus intern, Robbie, led the communion part of service.
Our minister, Jay Hernandez, became a listener and heard Stefano and Marley, two of our campus disciples, deliver an inspiring lesson called “Temptation, and Comfort That Will Last.”
