Excited woman makes a vow to God!

“My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” James 1:19-21.

Last week, Cliff was baptized into Christ.

A week later, Cliff’s wife, Anissa, did the same.

And Cliff did the honors.

Last night, Cliff had the awesome privilege of baptizing his wife in the beautiful waters of Richardson Beach Park.

Anissa was filled with excitement and joy as she professed, “Jesus is Lord!”

“Wow, this is like getting married again!” Anissa said just before getting baptized.

Both Cliff and Anissa have been studying the Bible for a few months now with Kyle and Joan. They are grateful for how God has taken care of them and their family.

Their children watched with wonder as the happy couple stood in the water. Then Cliff immersed Anissa while the waves did their “spiritual cleansing.”

Everyone cheered as the two walked back on dry land, giving them hugs and congratulations.

The remarkable aspect of these baptisms is that they happened within one week in the same exact spot.

And the husband was able to perform the baptism of his wife before God.

It was almost like a marriage: A man and a woman stood side by side, ready to make a commitment. They made vows as others watched.

Except this time, the vows were to God.

A marriage made in heaven!
