Mission Statement

The mission of this web site, hiloicc.org, is:

To share good news about the Hilo International Christian Church with people in Hilo, Hawai’i, the United States and the world.

“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.” Philemon 4-7.

Plan: share about people who turn to God; write testimonials about God’s influence; report about church-related accolades and positive events.

To inform people who live in Hilo and Hawai‘i Island, as well as people all over the world who may come to our church, about news, events and people connected to the Hilo International Christian Church.

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 2-4.

Plan: post news, events and human-interest articles.

To preach the word of God to people who live in Hilo, Hawai‘i, the United States and the world.

“Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:11-15.

Plan: show Scriptures; broadcast multimedia sermons.
